Formed atop the ruins of Dublin's GPO immediately after the 1916 Easter Rising, Chewing on Tinfoil were founded by various notable patriots [names redacted] who had fought for the freedom of the Irish people against British rule. After being passed down through many generations of musicians cherry-picked from Ireland's cultural elite, Chewie's current lineup continues to spread the original message of Irish rebellion in the face of imperialist oppression, while being delivered to today's audiences in a more contemporary vehicle of melodic punk music as opposed to its' original form of Irish trad.
