At the beginning of 2018, Bear Trade came to an end. Three quarters of the Bears wanted to keep playing together whilst exactly reinventing the wheel.
At the beginning of 2018, Helen Chambers was still performing solo, playing her folk tinged acoustic tunes with her uniquely affecting voice.
And there, Misfortune Cookie was born… an obvious yet not obvious paring. The sum of those parts are familar… yet new.
We have played sporadically over our first year, getting together as and when work and families and distance and life allows, and were fortunate to spend some warm days on the mainland with RVIVR.
Our debut LP, Heavy Seas was released in 2019 on Everything Sucks.
We remain committed our old school values of enjoying a beer and sharing fun times.
