Hailing from the York punk scene, Pat Butcher play a mix of thrashy, metal-tinged punk and nasty offbeat resulting in a sound not to dissimilar to the Mitchell brothers booting Ian Beale around the Queen Vic.

With a tendency to stay away from more serious subject matters, Pat Butcher take a much more tongue-in-cheek approach to lyrics with tunes covering themes such as the joys of nurturing kidney stones, the never ending torture of driving twenty year old bangers and the heartbreak from finding the only beer left at the shop comes in tiny tinnies. However, the band are probably best known for 'Carrot in a Minute' where audience members are challenged to eat an entire carrot during a one minute song, its not as easy as it looks.
