These are the venues used for MPF2018.For those who've attended MPF previously, you'll notice we are no longer using Sound Control as a venue. This is for reasons beyond our control but we'd like to thank them for their part in our event so far. The 2 stages we had there will now be at The Bread Shed (formally Zoo) and Rebellion on every day of the festival.
The running order for all stages is subject to change. Please check the running times posted at each stage on the day for the actual slot times. Although, we will try to stick to the published times and tell people though Twitter and Facebook of any changes.
Each stage has a set capacity. Once this is reached we will not be able to let anyone else in. This is particularly important for the Thursday gigs. Please make sure you arrive early to the stage to ensure you get access.
Gorilla is located just round the corner of New Wakefield Street and is going to be open all day on Friday & Saturday. Entrance to Gorilla will be round the side under the railway arch.
Registration will be round the front of Gorilla every day
Rebellion is our newest venue and will be open all three days of the festival. It's got great staging, sound and staff.
2B Whitworth St W
THE BREAD SHED
Formally known as Zoo and used for afterparties in previous years, MPF2018 will see the renamed The Bread Shed used as a main venue all weekend. Just 10 mins walk from Gorilla.
126 Grosvenor St,
Age Restriction: 14+ (18+ afterparties)
Across the road from Underdog and Font and above the Thirsty Scholar, this venue is intimate and always a party.
Located next door to Font, Underdog is a basement venue beneath Black Dog Ballroom and will host the acoustic stage on Friday and Saturday!
Our festival hub! Although there's no bands at Font there are MPF cocktails, great food, punk rock cinema, zines, records and much more!
7-9 New Wakefield Street
THE THIRSTY SCHOLAR
Home of the Manchester Pint Festival, a great local boozer which sells vegan food. Might even have a few laughs in this venue for 2018...
50 New Wakefield Street
Because of this, we would like to offer a discounted ticket to people who will experience some restrictions due to accessibility issues. To enquire about a discounted ticket, or if you have any questions about access at any of the venues, please message the facebook page or email firstname.lastname@example.org
This is the first year we'll be using Rebellion and The Bread Shed in place of Sound Control. Both of these venues are a little more spread out than previous years, so here's some helpful information to plan your days.
Gorilla, Font, Underdog and Zombie Shack are all around the same street and take seconds to walk from one to the other.
Walking from Gorilla to Rebellion, or Gorilla to The Bread Shed will take around 10 minutes. Walking from Zoo to Rebellion and vice versa will take around 20 minutes.
